Upcoming Automation System and Platform Reliability Updates
Since our last blog post, quite a lot has been happening behind the scenes. Today, we would like to share an update with you.
What We’ve Been Working On
Automated Platform Testing
To ensure that the platform continues to function as expected, we have laid the foundation for quickly and easily implementing automated tests that verify marketplace functionality. This will allow us to roll out new features even faster in the future while making sure that existing features remain stable and unaffected. We will continuously expand and improve our automated testing, as it is an investment in the long-term sustainability and reliability of the platform.
More Automation for Sellers and Buyers
We are currently working on a new system that will serve as the foundation for automating many processes and tasks on the platform. Here are just a few examples of what will be possible:
- Sellers can automatically send a predefined message to a buyer after receiving a purchase request.
- Buyers can automatically send a predefined message to the seller after confirming payment for a purchase request.
- Sellers can exclude certain countries or regions from sales.
- Sellers can set shipping costs based on the buyer’s country of origin.
- Sellers can define a minimum order value.
- Sellers can automatically grant discounts when custom-defined criteria are met.
- Sellers can automatically reject buyers who do not meet custom-defined criteria.
- And much more.
The system is still under development and will be one of the largest updates since the launch of CollectorsComet. Not all of the features listed above will be released at the same time. However, once the underlying core system is completed, implementing additional features will be much easier.
We expect the new system, including its first features, to go live at the end of March or the beginning of April 2026.
Other Minor Improvements
- Improved product search within the sales form: product numbers can now be used for searching.
- The top navigation search bar now also supports product number searches.
- The “My Products” page has been optimized for mobile view.
